About Cosmesoft One

Browser support: Cosmesoft One is only fully supported on Google Chrome. Use Chrome wherever possible for the supported app experience. On iPhone and iPad, Apple platform limitations mean push notifications may require Safari; this exception is covered in the install and notification steps.

About Cosmesoft One

You can install Cosmesoft One as an app on your desktop, phone, or tablet — so it lives on your dock, taskbar, or home screen instead of a browser tab. Once installed, it opens in its own clean window with no address bar, loads faster, and behaves just like any other app on your device.

This works using a technology called a Progressive Web App (PWA). There's nothing to download from an app store — you install it straight from your browser in under a minute.

What Cosmesoft One is

Cosmesoft One is the same Cosmesoft you already use in your browser, packaged to run like a native app:

  • No app store required — install directly from Chrome
  • Its own window — no address bar, tabs, or browser chrome
  • Faster access — launches straight from your dock, taskbar, Start menu, home screen, or app drawer
  • Always up to date — served from the web, so it automatically loads the latest version; there's nothing to manually update
  • Stays signed in — the installed app remembers your session the same way the browser does

Find your install steps

Installation differs slightly by device, but Chrome is the fully supported browser for Cosmesoft One:

iPhone/iPad notification exception: Cosmesoft One is only fully supported on Chrome. However, Apple currently does not allow Chrome-installed web apps on iPhone/iPad to receive push notifications, so Safari may be required on iOS only if push notifications are needed.

Why installing it matters

  • Faster, more focused access — no extra step of opening a browser and navigating to a tab; Cosmesoft One opens directly.
  • Push notifications — once installed, Cosmesoft One can send notifications (e.g. booking or task alerts) directly to your device, the same way a native app would.
  • One consistent experience across devices — the same install pattern works across desktop and mobile.

How it fits into your workflow

  1. Login and sessions work the same as in the browser — installing doesn't require a separate account.
  2. Notifications, once enabled, surface time-sensitive updates even when the app isn't open — provided you installed via a route that supports them.
  3. Updates roll out automatically — there's no separate app version to keep in sync with browser-based Cosmesoft.

Typical use cases

You'll want to install Cosmesoft One when you:

  • Use Cosmesoft daily and want faster, one-click access without opening a browser first
  • Want to receive push notifications for bookings or tasks
  • Prefer a clean, dedicated window instead of a browser tab
  • Are setting up a shared front-desk or reception device for consistent daily use
