## Problem 1 – You can’t open a booking in the calendar

You click an appointment block, but the booking panel doesn’t open or loads the wrong booking.

### How you recognise it

- Clicking an appointment block does nothing, or a spinner appears indefinitely.

- A different client/booking opens than the one you clicked.

### Most likely causes

- Calendar filters (Location or Staff) don’t match the appointment you’re trying to open.

- Network or session timeout interrupted the panel load.

- The appointment card is overlapping another booking due to narrow columns, causing mis-clicks.

### How to fix it

- Reset your Calendar filters.

- Set the correct Location and ensure the Staff filter shows the practitioner of the target booking.

- Zoom or widen the practitioner column.

- Use browser zoom out or increase the Calendar column width so the booking card is fully visible.

- Refresh your session and try again.

- Reload the Calendar. If you were idle for a long time, sign out and sign back in.

### How to confirm it’s fixed

- Clicking the same appointment opens the correct booking panel on the right.

- Summary tab shows the expected client, practitioner, date/time, and services.

## Problem 2 – You can’t move or reschedule an appointment

Dragging a booking to a new time or to another practitioner doesn’t work, or you get an error.

### How you recognise it

- Drag-and-drop is unavailable or snaps back to the original slot.

- A message indicates a conflict or unavailable practitioner/time.

### Most likely causes

- The destination time is outside the practitioner’s roster or the Location’s opening hours.

- Service or practitioner restrictions prevent moving this booking (for example, service not offered by target practitioner).

### How to fix it

- Try changing the time within the same practitioner first.

- Open the booking panel and adjust date/time from the **Manage** tab if drag-and-drop is restricted.

- If moving to another practitioner, verify that practitioner can perform the booked services

### How to confirm it’s fixed

- Calendar shows the booking in the new time/practitioner column.

- Summary tab reflects the updated practitioner and date/time.

## Problem 3 – Status won’t update to Arrived, Cancelled, or No Show

You try to change the appointment status, but it doesn’t stick or the wrong colour/icon appears.

### How you recognise it

- Status selection reverts after saving, or the Calendar still shows the old status legend colour.

- Status options are greyed out or missing in the Summary tab.

### Most likely causes

- You navigated away before saving the booking after status change.

- Conflicting browser extensions or connectivity issues prevented the update.

### How to fix it

- Open the booking panel and change the status again from the Summary tab.

- Click Save (or ensure autosave confirms) before closing the panel.

- Refresh the Calendar to ensure the legend updates, and re-check the appointment block.

### How to confirm it’s fixed

- Status persists after a page refresh and matches the legend.

- Team members see the correct status in their Calendar view.

## Problem 4 – Services are missing from the booking

You can’t add the expected service(s) to an existing booking or new booking.

### How you recognise it

- The service search returns no results, or only a subset of services appears on the Manage tab.

### Most likely causes

- Service isn’t available at the selected Location or for the selected practitioner.

- Your service catalogue or permissions restrict visibility in this context.

### How to fix it

- Confirm the booking’s Location and practitioner are correct for the desired service.

- On the Manage tab, click Add service and search by full service name; check spelling and filters.

- If still missing, verify in your Services setup that the service is assigned to this Location and practitioner group. This may need to be performed by your business administrator, or your permissions may need to be updated.

### How to confirm it’s fixed

- The desired service appears in the picker and can be added to the booking.

## Problem 5 – Double-bookings or overlapping appointments

Two bookings appear at the same time for the same practitioner, or a move/duplicate creates an overlap unintentionally.

### How you recognise it

- Practitioner column shows overlapping appointment blocks, or warnings appear when saving.

### Most likely causes

- A duplicate action created a second booking in the same slot.

- Manual drag/drop ignored a warning or was interrupted before the save completed.

### How to fix it

- Open both bookings and confirm the intended one to keep (check client, services, and notes).

- Cancel the unintended duplicate, adding a short note so your reporting context is clear.

- If intentional overlap is needed, adjust services/durations so blocks no longer collide visually.

### How to confirm it’s fixed

- Calendar shows a single booking in that slot with no overlap warnings.

## Problem 6 – Consultation can’t be started from the booking

The Start Consult action is missing or errors when launched from the booking panel.

### How you recognise it

- Start Consult button not visible on the Summary or Consultation tab, or opens an error view.

### Most likely causes

- Your user role lacks permission to start consultations.

- The appointment is not in a valid state (for example, still unsaved or missing a client).

### How to fix it

- Ensure the booking is fully saved with a valid client, practitioner, date/time, and at least one service.

- Check with your administrator that your role includes consultation permissions.

- Refresh and try launching Start Consult again from the booking panel.

### How to confirm it’s fixed

- Start Consult opens the consultation workspace linked to this appointment and client.
